Let's Celebrate!

Hi everyone!  It's been a very busy (and exciting!) week for me, re-opening my etsy shop, creating new paintings, and starting my two new part-time jobs!  I am feeling so blessed!

In honor of my shop being re-opened for a week now, I thought it'd be fun to have a one-day sale to say thank you to everyone for the support! It has definitely been a successful first week which calls for a mini-celebration for sure!  Just go to my shop and type in this coupon code during checkout: GRATEFUL20

If you're just visiting my blog for the first time, please feel free to browse and find out a little about me, my art, and more!  Thank you so much for visiting!

If anyone has any special quotes, Bible verses, or designs in mind for a custom print, please don't hesitate to contact me with your ideas!

Much love! :)

Being Brave

The first step in many of my mixed media paintings is often adding my calligraphy, just like the first step to making art is often dreaming. This quote has definitely resonated a lot with me lately as I've been more active in sharing my art with everyone. Thank you all for the continual support as my art business is setting sail smile emoticon I'll post more pictures of this piece when it is finished!

*Are there any quotes or verses you'd like to see as paintings?? Feel free to comment with your ideas and suggestions! smile emoticon

Much love to y'all!

New Etsy Shop!

Hi everyone!  I am excited to announce that I have finally opened my Etsy shop!  I have tried selling on Etsy before but that ended up being short-lived at the time.  So, this time around I will be mainly selling prints of my newest paintings as well as some other accessories, paintings, etc. that will be updated and listed often.

The prints in my shop are 8.5 x 11 inches each and are printed on a high-quality paper.  Colors and details have been reproduced perfectly!  Each print comes on a backing board in a clear, protective, closure bag and shipped in a rigid, stay-flat mailer.  The prints will also arrive without the "Always Blooming Artwork" watermark pictured.

*If you are local to me or we see each other throughout the week somehow, please feel free to message me your order here through my blog, Facebook, Instagram, or email so that you can avoid shipping costs!

Please keep checking back to my shop for updates of recent paintings as well- I have been trying to paint much more often so that I can fill my shop with beautiful things for you all!

Here's a collage to preview some of the painting prints that are up for sale in my shop!  There are more, too, so you'll have to click my shop link so that you can check everything out!

Please feel free to contact me with any further questions, suggestions, etc.  Let me know what you think!  Much love :)

Minted Designs

Hello everyone!  Within the past two months, I discovered the awesome website: Minted.com.  If you haven't yet discovered Minted, please check it out!  Minted is an awesome community of designers and artists who have opportunities to enter specific contests and license their artwork.  What an awesome opportunity!

So I thought, why not enter?  It's worth a try!  The "Works of Art" contest seemed to be the best fit for my artwork, and I decided to submit two designs to start with--one painting and one photo pictured here:

"Blooming Bliss" Art Print

"Sunflower Stalk" Photography Print

I would greatly appreciate if you each could follow the Minted button below and cast a vote for both of my designs!  Voting is open until January 21 :) Everyone's support for my artwork is such a blessing to me.  This Minted Work of Art contest has some really great designs and artwork and I am excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this fun community!  Thank you all for checking it out!  Also, keep checking back on my blog, Facebook, and Instagram for some exciting news about my paintings coming soon!

**Please don't forget that all artwork and photos are property of Bee Always Blooming Artwork. Thank you! :)

Follow Me!

Happy Monday everyone!  I have been happily and busily painting smaller paintings to (hopefully!) be made into prints for sale soon.  I sure am excited for the new possibilities that this year holds!

In an attempt to grow my online art and blogging business, I have been added to a new group Pinterest board that you'll find here.  This is a popular "Creative Inspiration" board for all of you who enjoy crafts and DIYs.

As I'm sure many of you have discovered, I am definitely a huge Pinterest fan and user--feel free to follow me via my Pinterest social icon or here for additional inspiration!  I'm excited to be a Pinner to this group board  and hope you all will find it useful to follow as well. Thanks to Amy for this sweet opportunity!

Also, here's a couple of "sneak peaks" of some of my newest paintings, trying out some new techniques! Stay tuned for updates!! Follow me on Instagram and Facebook as well for more updates on my art :)

Thanks y'all and much love!

Creative Living

Happy weekend! It has been raining all weekend long, but I've enjoyed relaxing with my wonderful boyfriend and family!  It's also been a fairly productive weekend for me, preparing paintings and photos to submit to an art contest (more on that later, so stay tuned! I'm very excited).  I just thought I'd share a little creative inspiration for this rainy weekend, to brighten things up a bit!

This is one of my favorite photos of my painting in action!  I tend to be a very messy painter, so my hands and artist tools are always covered with fun colors :)

Also, I found this great article about befriending artists on one of my favorite blogs, http://beautifulhelloblog.com/ (artist-Emily Jeffords, check out her work! It's absolutely beautiful.  I had the opportunity to meet her last month and was definitely captivated by her lovely abstract landscape paintings)
Hopefully you all enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone!  Happy 2015!  I hope everyone is as excited as I am for this new year, I'm looking forward to so many things!  2014 was filled with so many blessings- being in an amazing relationship with the love of my life, graduating college, completing student teaching, my senior art exhibition, teaching some of my most favorite kids at the Boys and Girls Club all summer, traveling, participating in my first craft fair, enjoying friendships with some of the best of friends and my wonderful family, and much, much more! Thanks to all of you who have had an impact on my life this year, I am beyond thankful!

I learned how to make fabulous lace dreamcatchers this summer from an amazing mixed-media artist (thanks again!) with a few of my sweet friends.  What a fun girls night!  I decided that making some more dreamcatchers would be the perfect way to bring in the new year, as I am filled with so many dreams and goals for 2015!  Here's a few images of my dreamcatchers and some of the supplies I use to create them:

Supplies needed: embroidery hoops, a hot glue gun, doilies, lace trim, fabric (to cut into long strips), ribbons and textured strings, feathers, beads, and anything else you'd like to add! The more, the merrier!

I like to layer things onto my dreamcatchers, similar to how I layer while painting, too!  Un-matching fabric and ribbons end up looking great together in the end as a whole, no worries!

The image (above) is the my most recent dreamcatcher and (below) is the one I created this summer!  These are so addicting to make, I just know I'll be busy working on more soon.

While working on my dreamcatcher, I decided it'd also be the perfect time to write down my 2015 goals and "dreams:"
pray more
make prints of paintings (to sell!)
paint more
open an online shop
create a professional website
show my work in at least 1 gallery and/or art fair
teach!
and love more :)
I always have lots of goals, but these seemed most relevant and prominent to me to start the new year off with!  It's going to be a great year, that's for sure!  I am so blessed.

And here's a New Year's collage to add to the fun:

Hope you all have enjoyed this post and are having a great start to 2015! :)
